DECISIONE DEL CONSIGLIO
del 15 settembre 2006
relativa alla nomina dei membri belgi, greci, irlandesi, ciprioti, olandesi, polacchi, portoghesi, finlandesi, svedesi e britannici, nonché di due membri italiani del Comitato economico e sociale europeo
(2006/651/CE, Euratom)
IL CONSIGLIO DELL'UNIONE EUROPEA,
visto il trattato che istituisce la Comunità europea, in particolare l'articolo 259,
visto il trattato che istituisce la Comunità europea dell'energia atomica, in particolare l'articolo 167,
visto il parere della Commissione,
considerando quanto segue:
| (1) | Il mandato dei membri attuali del Comitato economico e sociale europeo scade il 20 settembre 2006 (1). Occorre pertanto procedere alla nomina dei membri del Comitato per un nuovo periodo di quattro anni a decorrere dal 21 settembre 2006. |
| (2) | I governi belga, greco, irlandese, cipriota, olandese, polacco, portoghese, finlandese, svedese e britannico hanno presentato elenchi con un numero di candidati pari al numero di seggi attribuiti loro dai trattati. |
| (3) | Il governo italiano ha presentato un elenco in cui figurano due candidati per completare l'elenco già presentato comprendente ventidue candidati e raggiungere così un numero di candidati pari ai seggi attribuitigli dai trattati. |
| (4) | L'11 luglio 2006 il Consiglio ha già adottato gli elenchi presentati dai governi ceco, tedesco, estone, spagnolo, francese, lettone, lituano, lussemburghese, ungherese, maltese, austriaco, sloveno e slovacco, nonché l'elenco di ventidue candidati presentato dal governo italiano (2), |
DECIDE:
Articolo 1
Le persone il cui nome figura negli elenchi allegati alla presente decisione sono nominate membri del Comitato economico e sociale europeo per il periodo che va dal 21 settembre 2006 al 20 settembre 2010.
Articolo 2
La presente decisione ha effetto a decorrere dal giorno dell'adozione.
