2015 European Law Journal Special Issue
Call for Papers
The European Law Journal will be publishing one special issue in 2015, the theme
and composition of which will be chosen among the proposals sent in answer to the
present call.
Proposals should contain a succinct description of the overall topic of the special
issue (circa 10 lines), the reasons why the topic is one that fits into the identity of the
journal as the leading law-in-context publication on EU law (circa 20 lines) and the
contribution the issue will make to the literature (circa 40 lines). A short general
overview of the issue of circa 6 pages, including a list of the 7/8 papers proposed and
a short abstract for each of them should also be annexed.
Proposals should be sent by June 20th, 2014 (12 hours GMT). The editorial board,
in consultation with the academic board of the journal, will select one application by
July 15th. The preparatory workshop should be organized in the fall of 2014 or winter
of 2015. A first draft of the papers should be sent to the ELJ at latest by March 1st,
2015, and the final version should be sent, at latest, by September 1st, 2015. The editor
of the ELJ will be an active commentator in the workshop, and will be working,
together with members of the editorial board, in the preparation of the papers for
final publication, which will take place in either issue 6 of the 2015 volume or issue 1
of the 2016 volume.
Organisers will be responsible for both the funding and the logistical organiza-
tion of the workshop (or workshops) where the papers will be first presented and
discussed.
We are proud to announce that the proposal selected will receive 2000 pounds
sterling support from Wiley Blackwell.
