DECISIÓN (UE) 2015/116 DEL CONSEJO
de 26 de enero de 2015
por la que se nombran miembros y suplentes del Comité de las Regiones para el período comprendido entre el 26 de enero de 2015 y el 25 de enero de 2020
EL CONSEJO DE LA UNIÓN EUROPEA,
Visto el Tratado de Funcionamiento de la Unión Europea y, en particular, sus artículos 300, apartado 3, y 305,
Vista la Decisión 2014/930/UE del Consejo, de 16 de diciembre de 2014, por la que se establece la composición del Comité de las Regiones (1),
Vistas las propuestas de cada Estado miembro,
Considerando lo siguiente:
| (1) | El artículo 300, apartado 3, del Tratado de Funcionamiento de la Unión Europea (TFUE) establece como condición para ser miembro o suplente del Comité de las Regiones, además de la de ser representantes de un ente regional y local, la de ser bien titular de un mandato electoral en un ente regional o local, o tener responsabilidad política ante una asamblea elegida. |
| (2) | El artículo 305 del TFUE establece que los miembros del Comité de las Regiones, así como un número igual de suplentes, sean nombrados por el Consejo para un período de cinco años, de conformidad con las propuestas presentadas por cada Estado miembro. |
| (3) | El mandato de los miembros y suplentes del Comité de las Regiones expira el 25 de enero de 2015; ha de procederse, por lo tanto, al nombramiento de los nuevos miembros y suplentes. |
| (4) | Dicho nombramiento será seguido, en fecha posterior, del nombramiento de los otros miembros y suplentes cuyos nombramientos no hayan sido comunicados al Consejo en fecha anterior al 22 de enero de 2015. |
HA ADOPTADO LA PRESENTE DECISIÓN:
Artículo 1
Se nombran miembros o suplentes del Comité de las Regiones para el período comprendido entre el 26 de enero de 2015 y el 25 de enero de 2020:
| — | como miembros, a las personas cuya lista por cada Estado miembro figura en el anexo I, |
| — | como suplentes, a las personas cuya lista por cada Estado miembro figura en el anexo II. |
Artículo 2
La presente Decisión entrará en vigor el día de su adopción.
