ABB TO UPGRADE SINGAPORE POWER PLANT.

Singapore Power's unit PowerSenoko said it was repowering the Stage 1 Development of Senoko Power Station for SUSD670 million. PowerSenoko's three units of oil-fired, conventional thermal power plants commissioned in 1975 will be converted for natural gas usage. Power Senoko signed a SUSD300 million contract with Asea Brown Boveri for the conversion of the first unit. The deal included a six-year service and maintenance contract.
