AIRPORTS BETTER PREPARED FOR WINTER.

The European Commission seems to be rather satisfied with the way airports are managing the winter conditions. Last year, Transport Commissioner Siim Kallas had said he was extremely concerned with the level of disruptions caused by the heavy snowfall and had called airports the "weakest link" in the transport chain, causing an uproar with the people concerned. Kallas' services have now recognised that there have been "significant improvements," even though "it cannot be said that everything is perfect"...
