ALLIANCE OF LIBERALS AND DEMOCRATS FOR EUROPE OFFICIALLY ESTABLISHED.

On July 14, British MEP Graham Watson officially announced the creation of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE). "The new ALDE Group is the largest third force in the history of the European Parliament. We have begun to uncover the power that lies latent in the political centre", he stressed, describing the group numbers some 88 MEPs from 19 countries, and how it has attracted new members from both left and right of the political spectrum.
