The European Commission awarded its journalism award For Diversity. Against Discrimination' for 2007 to the article Portugueses alimentam nova escravatura da Europa' (Portuguese contribute to a new kind of slavery in Europe) by Portuguese journalist Maria do Ceu Neves (Diario de Noticias). It covers discrimination in the work market, particularly from the point of view of Portuguese and Polish migrant workers in the Netherlands.
