Aleksandra Asscheman is a Senior Lecturer, Chair of Business Law at the International and European Law Department of the Hague University of Applied Sciences, The Netherlands. Alongside teaching and coordinating a number of business and finance law courses, Aleksandra has designed and implemented a University-wide minor on International Tax, Banking & Finance Law, which she runs in cooperation with the European Investment Bank Institute.

Aleksandra is also currently conducting research with the Hague Centre of Expertise in Digital Operations and Finance. Prior to joining the Hague University, Aleksandra has had over a decade of experience as a legal practitioner in the development finance industry and extensive expertise in credit and investment transactions in Eastern Europe, India and South-East Asia. Aleksandra is an IMI qualified commercial mediator and an expert in Digital Finance certified by Frankfurt School of Finance and Management. She holds and LLM from Tilburg University (cum laude) and an MA in Politics and Security from the OSCE Academy.
