APPOINTMENTS/CROATIA'S ACCESSION.

The EU Council decided, on 1 July, on the following appointments in the European Union's institutions in the context of the accession of Croatia. It appointed as a member of the European Commission Neven Mimica for the remainder of the current term of office of the EU executive (31 October 2014).
