BANKING SUPERVISION: EP AND COUNCIL GET DOWN TO BRASS TACKS.

The European Parliament and the Council of Ministers hope to advance significantly on the package setting up a single supervisory mechanism (SSM, two legislative texts) for credit institutions, at a 19 March three-way political meeting. The most optimistic even say that an overall agreement is possible by the end of next week.
