British telecommunications operators BT and Virgin Mobile are to launch a television service on mobile phones in Europe, according to a BT statement released on February 14. Virgin Mobile will be able to benefit from this offer "throughout the course of the year", with a range of television programmes and access to some 350 radio stations. BT and Virgin also presented the "Trilogy" Smartphone (telephone offering applications similar to a PC) capable of receiving television programmes at the Barcelona Mobile telephony Congress.
