BUDGET: ANTI-FRAUD UNIT SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE RENEWED.

The European Commission formally decided on March 26 to renew the supervisory committee of the European Anti-fraud Office (OLAF) until July 31, 2005. This decision was taken after Italy dropped its reservations, after months of indecision.

The members of the Supervisory Committee are:

- Raymond Kendall (United Kingdom), Honorary Secretary-General of Interpol, Lyon.

- Edmondo Bruti-Liberati (Italy), Deputy Public Prosecutor, Court of Appeal, Milan.

- Alfredo Jose de Sousa (Portugal), President of the Portuguese Court of Auditors.
