* Electronic communications conference: The European Radiocommunications Office is organising a conference on radio and non-radio electronic communications to take place in Barcelona, Spain, on April 13 and 14.

The issues discussed will include the challenges with which regulators are faced in a converging telecom world; wireless issues (UWB, broadcasting, spectrum reform); VoIP, next generation networks and competition-based regulatory approaches.

* Conference on technological innovation and regional cohesion in a wider Europe: The European regions knowledge based innovation (ERIK) network, the innovating regions in Europe (IRE) network and the Malopolska region are organising a conference on 'technological innovation and regional cohesion in a wider Europe' that will take place on April 21 and 22 in Krakow, Poland. The event will focus on two main topics: the importance of innovation policies for regional competitiveness, and the role played by innovative business incubators.

* Conference on nanotechnologies: A conference entitled "Why does nanotechnology concern me?" will be held in Brussels (Belgium) on April 25 and 26.
