CLEAR GUIDELINES SOUGHT FOR EUROPEAN COMMISSION DELEGATIONS.

The European Commissioners have told the Steering Committee of the EU executive's External Service to set up clear guidelines to measure the workload of delegations. The Commission also wants to see further proposals next year to rebalance the statutory and local staff in the delegations, for the redeployment of staff as well as for further adjustments in the Commission's external delegations. The Commission wants to release Euro 12.5 million from External Service's budget which the European Parliament has placed in the reserve.
