CLIMATE-KIC INAUGURATES NORDIC CENTRE.

The Climate Knowledge and Innovation Community (Climate-KIC) will inaugurate, on 7 February, a new centre to help companies, scientists and representatives from the Scandinavian governments join the European partnership in the fight against climate change. The new centre, which will officially be inaugurated by Climate Action Commissioner Connie Hedegaard, will be integrated into Lyngby Technical University in Copenhagen. Set up by the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) in 2010, Climate-KIC is the EU's main initiative and largest public-private innovation partnership in the fight against climate change. Based in London, Climate-KIC operates through centres across Europe to support start-up companies and has already brough together over 200 partners, with centres in France, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland and the UK.
