The French credit provider Cofinoga (part of the Galeries Lafayette retail group) and the mobile phone operator Orange announced at the end of April that they have developed an electronic signature for mobile phones, designed to allow users to make secure payments via their handsets. This new solution for m-commerce (e-commerce using mobile phones) will be available to Cofinoga and Orange clients, as well as to those of their affiliated on-line commercial sites, according to a communiqu? issued by the two groups.
