Dr. Eleonora Rosati, a distinguished scholar and legal professional, serves as a Full Professor of Intellectual Property Law at Stockholm University. Holding a PhD from the European University Institute (EUI) and an LLM from the University of Cambridge, she is also a qualified Italian lawyer and Of Counsel at Bird & Bird.


Beyond her role in Sweden, Dr. Rosati holds visiting and guest professorships at renowned universities in Portugal, France, Switzerland, and the UK. A prolific contributor to The IPKat and Editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property Law & Practice (Oxford University Press), she has authored numerous scholarly articles and books on intellectual property, including recent works like "Copyright and the Court of Justice of the European Union" (Oxford University Press, 2023) and "Copyright in the Digital Single Market - Article-by-Article Commentary to the Provisions of Directive 2019/790" (Oxford University Press, 2021).


Her editorial contributions include the "Routledge Handbook of EU Copyright Law" (Routledge, 2021) and co-editorship of "Developments and Directions in Intellectual Property Law. Twenty Years of The IPKat" (Oxford University Press, 2023). Dr. Rosati's impact has been recognized with accolades, including being named among the '50 Most Influential People in IP' by Managing Intellectual Property in 2018, and being acknowledged as one of the 'Influential Women in IP' by World Intellectual Property Review in 2020. In 2022, she received the Adepi Award for her outstanding contribution to shaping the interpretation of IP law in Europe.
