* Second annual e-commerce summitThe second annual e-commerce summit will be held in Rome, Italy, from October 4 to 6. The first day, Italian Day, is aimed at Italian multinational executives. An International Programme will feature on October 5 and 6. The Commissioner for Enterprise and the Information Society, Erkki Liikanen, will give the keynote speech, and the event will be chaired by Olivier Pascal, deputy Head of Unit F3 in the Information Society Directorate-General. The information day will comprise a morning session of presentations on the general aspects of the call for proposals 2000/1 and on the call for support and co-ordination. In the afternoon, the programme's officials will be available for individual discussions. Scope exists for arranging 15-minute meetings for sectors of individual interest.
