ELECTRONIC COMMERCE : EASTERN EUROPE REGISTERS 19 BN EURO E-COMMERCE TURNOVER IN 2013.

The Eastern European e-commerce market is growing fast and shows a lot of potential, according to a report published on 6 February by Ecommerce Europe, the European lobby for online retailers. The report says that the Eastern European e-commerce market had a growth rate of 35.7% in 2012, with a total turnover of 13.1 billion, of which 81% account for goods and 19% for services. The share of the Eastern European market in the total e-commerce turnover in Europe is 7%. In 2013, the expected turnover is 19.3 billion.

Out of the 249 million people who live in Eastern Europe, currently 106 million are internet users and 27 million use the internet for shopping.
