Nathalie Springuel Silver worked for UNHCR for more than 15 years and held various positions in protection, mainly in the field in Africa (Kenya, Chad, Guinea, Ghana, Djibouti), in Asia (Indonesia). Her last position was in Turkey during the Syria crisis. She worked there from 2014 until 2019 as Senior Refugee Status Determination Officer.


Since last year, she joined the operation in Brussels, as Resettlement Officer and presently works in the Policy and Legal Unit, in the Representation for EU Affairs. Nathalie holds a Master degree in Law (University of Leuven (Louvain-La-Neuve) Belgium) and a specialisation in International and Humanitarian Law (University of Leiden).
