EU AGENCIES: PARLIAMENT DECLARES START TO HEADQUARTERS WAR.

The European Parliament took the opportunity of a vote on a report by Dutch Socialist MEP Michiel van Hulten concerning planned Financial Regulation implementation procedures, to press the Council to reach a compromise on where to site the headquarters of the European Food Safety Agency, the Maritime Safety Agency and the Air Safety Agency. The general draft Regulation is based on a set of regulations that differ according to the legal basis governing the application of the Financial Regulation for the various EU bodies, whose founding acts have to be amended.
