* Green Week 2004: organised for June 1 to 4 by the European Commission's DG Environment. Central theme: "Changing our behaviour: informed choices for a greener Europe". A series of 26 seminars and conferences will take place on the following four subjects: "From a single to a shared view"; "From an economic environment to an environmental economy"; "From idealism to action"; and "From the Baltic to the Black Sea". There will be an exhibition with stands that feature best practices, projects and partnerships - and an 'Oscar' style ceremony for the handing out of environmental awards. For the first time, the exhibition will also feature a stock market, where visitors will be able to buy and sell stocks in sustainable and non-sustainable companies.
