At the Employment and Social Policy Council, on 9 December 2013, the ministers agreed on the urgent need to address social divergences in terms of employment, disposable income, poverty and social exclusion. They approved the scoreboard of social indicators proposed by the European Commission that includes the unemployment rate, the youth unemployment rate (15-24 age group), real gross household disposable income, the at risk of poverty rate and income inequalities.
