FOREIGN MINISTERS CONFIRM AGENDA FOR DECEMBER EUROPEAN COUNCIL.

EU Foreign Ministers have confirmed the agenda for the European Council meeting in Brussels on December 16-17. At the General Affairs/External Relations Council on November 22, they agreed the meeting would focus on enlargement, in particular the question of whether to start accession negotiations with Turkey as well as deciding on the conclusion of negotiations with Romania and Bulgaria.

There will also be a review of progress in combating terrorism and the Summit will also examine the EU drugs strategy for 2005-12.
