The European Parliament, sitting in plenary session in Strasbourg on October 23, approved the draft inter-institutional agreement on Parliamentary access to sensitive Council documents on Common Foreign and Security Policy (see European Report 2692 for further details). This text fills a gap in the application of Regulation 1049/2001 on access to public documents, which specifically excludes classified documents.
