Willi Rothley (PES, Germany), the rapporteur for the draft MEP statute Regulation, has expressed his appreciation of the Presidency's compromise plan for taxation, which has also been broadly welcomed by the Member States' permanent representatives to the EU (COREPER) meeting on October 15 (see European Report 2626, same Section).
