Kees GROENENDIJK was Professor of Sociology of Law at the University of Nijmegen (The Netherlands) from 1982 until 2008. Since 2008 he is Emeritus Professor at that university, founder and research fellow of its Centre for Migration Law and member of the Standing Committee of Experts on international immigration, refugee and criminal law (Meijers Committee).


He is a honory member of the Odysseus Network of Experts on European Migration and Asylum Law. He has published on the social and legal status of immigrants, EU and national migration law, race relations legislation, legal integration of immigrants and nationality law.
