NATO SEEKS MILLENIUM BUG COOPERATION WITH RUSSIA.

Reflecting American fears of a loss of control of strategic nuclear weapons in Russia, NATO is trying to persuade Moscow to cooperate in eradicating the risks involved with the year 2000 computer problem, according to diplomats. "The Russians have the same level of dependency on information technology as the NATO countries so we need to compare notes with them on how to tackle the problem", reports one diplomat.
