The European Commission is funding a new initiative entitled "Fellows For Industry" in order to encourage co-operation between universities and companies in the engineering and biomedical sectors and in re-education technologies. The initiative, which aims to encourage and facilitate access to companies, and more specifically SMEs, for highly-qualified scientific personnel, is designed to enhance European enterprises' innovation potential. The sharing of knowledge and experience should prove beneficial to both companies and the scientists involved.
