Anxious to fight the cases of fraud that are developing in payment services, the European Commission announced, on 8 January, that it was going to create an experts group, which will be responsible for collecting data on payment issues, particularly fraud prevention, from a range of stakeholders, in particular the payment industry and users.

Experts interested in joining this Payment Systems Market Expert Group (PSMEG) are invited to send an application to the Commission, by 6 February(1). A maximum of 50 experts will be selected.
