(1999/C 118/111) PREGUNTA ESCRITA E-2512/98 de Roberta Angelilli (NI) a la Comisión (30 de julio de 1998) Asunto: Catástrofe aérea de Blagnac, Francia El 30 de junio de 1994, en Blagnac, aeropuerto de Tolosa, un aparato A330 de la empresa francesa Airbus Industrie que efectuaba un vuelo de prueba se estrelló provocando la muerte de las siete personas que se encontraban a bordo. Dos de las siete víctimas eran pilotos italianos, Alberto Nassetti y Pier Paolo Racchetti, empleados de la compañía Alitalia, que se encontraban en Tolosa para un período de prácticas comerciales de cinco días en la sede de la empresa francesa.
El aparato todavía no había sido homologado, pero volaba con un certificado provisional. Durante los vuelos de prueba no está admitida la presencia de pasajeros a bordo y a los mandos de la aeronave tiene que haber obligatoriamente al menos dos pilotos con licencia de piloto de prueba. A bordo del aparato A 330 había un solo piloto de prueba y otro con licencia de piloto de línea. En el programa del período de prácticas comerciales no estaba previsto vuelo alguno, sino únicamente clases en los locales de la empresa.
Cuatro años después del accidente, la justicia francesa todavía tiene que decidir si iniciará el juicio por responsabilidad penal. La investigación previa, competencia de la Dirección General de Armamento, que depende del Ministerio de Defensa, según lo previsto por el código francés de navegación aérea, concluyó al cabo de siete meses. La investigación judicial, iniciada por el juez Billaud, terminó el 28 de febrero de 1998 y la Fiscalía tenía un plazo de tres meses para emitir un dictamen para cerrar el caso o continuar la acción legal. Hasta hoy, no se ha recibido respuesta de la Fiscalía.

si no considera oportuno intervenir ante las autoridades francesas para conocer los motivos de este asombroso e inexplicable retraso en la decisión de entablar el juicio;

si no considera oportuno intervenir ante las autoridades italianas para saber por qué motivo el Consulado de Tolosa no ha ofrecido ayuda alguna a los familiares de las víctimas? Respuesta de la Sra...
