SYLVIE GOULARD WINS 2009 EUROPEAN BOOK PRIZE.

A book by French MEP Sylvie Goulard (ALDE) entitled L'Europe pour les Nuls' ( Europe for dummies') was awarded the European Book Prize, on 9 December 2009. The work, published by Editions First in March 2007 (www.editionsfirst.fr) hopes, according to the author, to explain the work of the EU institutions in a clear and accessible way, without jargon and even, wherever possible, with a few laughs along the way.
