The number of tablet owners in Europe is expected to grow fourfold by 2017, according to a study by Forrester Research of the United States, published on 21 February. It speaks of "spectacular growth" and notes that about one in seven online Europeans already owns one. The percentage of Europeans owning a tablet will rise from 14% in 2012 to 55% in 2017, predicts Forrester.

These projections result from a survey of more than 13,000 consumers in France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and the UK.
