TEHRAN CANCELS INTERPARLIAMENTARY MEETING.

The European Parliament delegation's visit to Iran, which was to take place from 8 to 11 January, has been cancelled by the Iranian authorities. Delegation chair Barbara Lochbihler (Greens-EFA, Germany) said the cancellation was "another sad illustration of how much the Iranian leadership opposes any discussion of the major unresolved problems in the country".
