Ida Nowers is Law and Policy Coordinator at the Whistleblowing International Network (WIN). WIN is an international membership organisation connecting over 50 civil society NGOs working to support and defend whistleblowers. Since 2019, Ida has been responsible for supporting the advocacy of WIN’s members and associates and facilitates the exchange of expertise on whistleblowing law and practice around the world.


Ida leads the EU Whistleblowing Monitor, a collaborative platform which tracks the transposition and implementation of the EU Directive on Whistleblowing (2019/1937) across all 27 EU Member States. Ida was previously Senior Adviser at UK whistleblowing charity Protect, providing legal advice and support to hundreds of individual whistleblowers and consultancy and training to public and private organisations on implementing effective institutional whistleblowing arrangements.
