DÉCISION DU CONSEIL

du 13 septembre 2010

portant nomination des membres du Comité économique et social européen pour la période allant du 21 septembre 2010 au 20 septembre 2015

LE CONSEIL DE L’UNION EUROPÉENNE,

vu le traité sur le fonctionnement de l’Union européenne, et notamment son article 300, paragraphe 2, et son article 302, en liaison avec l’article 7 du protocole sur les dispositions transitoires annexé au traité sur l’Union européenne, au traité sur le fonctionnement de l’Union européenne et au traité instituant la Communauté européenne de l’énergie atomique,

vu les propositions faites par chaque État membre,

vu l’avis de la Commission européenne,

considérant ce qui suit:

(1) Le mandat des membres actuels du Comité économique et social européen vient à expiration le 20 septembre 2010 ( 1 ). Il convient donc de procéder à la nomination des membres dudit comité pour une période de cinq ans commençant à courir le 21 septembre 2010.

(2) Chaque État membre a présenté une liste comprenant un nombre de candidats égal à celui des sièges qui lui sont attribués par le traité; tous ces candidats étant des représentants des organisations d’employeurs, de salariés et d’autres acteurs représentatifs de la société civile, en particulier dans les domaines socio-économique, civique, professionnel et culturel. Cependant, le gouvernement roumain proposera à un stade ultérieur un candidat supplémentaire afin de compléter la liste en fonction du nombre de sièges alloués par le traité,

A ADOPTÉ LA PRÉSENTE DÉCISION:

Article premier

Sont nommés membres du Comité économique et social européen, pour la période allant du 21 septembre 2010 au 20 septembre 2015, les personnes dont le nom figure sur la liste annexée à la présente décision.

Article 2

La présente décision entre en vigueur à la date de son adoption.
