Decisión de Ejecución (UE) 2022/33 de la Comisión, de 10 de enero de 2022, por la que se deroga la Decisión de Ejecución (UE) 2021/2021 relativa a determinadas medidas de protección por lo que respecta a la peste porcina africana en Alemania [notificada con el número C(2022) 155]

(1) La peste porcina africana es una enfermedad vírica infecciosa que afecta a los porcinos en cautividad y silvestres y que puede tener graves repercusiones en la población animal afectada y en la rentabilidad de la ganadería, al perturbar los desplazamientos de las partidas de esos animales y sus productos dentro de la Unión, así como las exportaciones a terceros países.
(2) En caso de brote de peste porcina africana en porcinos en cautividad, existe un riesgo grave de propagación de dicha enfermedad a otros establecimientos de porcinos en cautividad.
(3) El Reglamento Delegado 2020/687 de la Comisión (2) completa las normas para el control de las enfermedades de la lista a la que se hace referencia en el artículo 9, apartado 1, letras a), b) y c), del Reglamento (UE) 2016/429, y definidas como enfermedades de categoría A, B y C en el Reglamento de Ejecución (UE) 2018/1882 de la Comisión (3). En particular, los artículos 21 y 22 del Reglamento Delegado (UE) 2020/687 prevén el establecimiento de una zona restringida en caso de brote de una enfermedad de categoría A, incluida la peste porcina africana, y la aplicación de determinadas medidas en dicha zona. Además, el artículo 21, apartado 1, de dicho Reglamento Delegado establece que la zona restringida debe comprender una zona de protección, una zona de vigilancia y, en caso necesario, otras zonas restringidas alrededor de las zonas de protección y de vigilancia o adyacentes a ellas.
(4) A raíz de un brote de peste porcina africana en porcinos en cautividad en el Estado federado alemán de Mecklemburgo-Pomerania Occidental, confirmado el 15 de noviembre de 2021, y de la información recibida del Estado miembro acerca de la situación de la enfermedad en su territorio, se adoptó la Decisión de Ejecución (UE) 2021/2021 de la Comisión (4).
