Abstract

The paper will give an overview of the discovered international channels of illicit drug

trackingintheRepublicofMacedoniaanddrugcriminalgroupsandnetworksintermsof

theirplacementandmanner ofaction Theillicit narcoticdrugs tracand theirsmuggling

in all its features and characteristics (scope, dynamics, manner of execution, perfection of the

methodsusedbytheperpetratorsisadelicatemaerwithahighleveloforganizationThe

eectivepreventionofthistypeofcrimeimpliesanevenhigherdegreeoforganizedresponse

Thegeneralgoalof thepaperistopresenttheconditions andfutureprospectsof illicitdrug

tracking in the Republic of Macedonia and the activities undertaken by the competent

bodies for its prevention.

Inordertogeingamorecompletepictureofthewayinwhichinternationalchannelsofillicit

drugtrackingaredetectedandinterruptedthreecasesBosporusTransitandConductor

wereanalyzed inthepaperwhich revealed large amounts of drugs and smashed several

criminal organizations.

1. Introduction

An important step has been made in the Republic of Macedonia in promoting the

instrumentsintheghtagainsttransnationaldrugcrimeConrmationforthiswas

thesuccessfulactionsoftheMinistryofInternalAairsthatresultedinanumberof

interrupted international channels and seizure of more tonnes of narcotic drugs.

Basedontheanalytical perceptionsabout theinterrupted internationalchannels of

illicitdrugtrackinginRepublicofMacedoniainthepreviousyearswewitnessed

aseizureofheroinmaruanacocainemorphineandamphetamineAsfortheplace

ofthedrugseizedofthediscoveredinternationaldrugtrackingchannelssomeof

themwereinterruptedatthebordercrossingsandcasesdetectedinsidethecountry

The transport and distribution of drugs in the most cases were carried out with

passengervehiclesthenwithfreightvehiclesandanumberwhereitwasalldoneby

airplaneorasmeansoftransportwereusedabusandaboatOtherwisemostoen
