I
ntelligence services include the most important institution o
f
state society. There

ore, given
that some intelligence services are operating in Kosovo, especially in the northern part o
f
K
osovo, with a particular

ocus on the Serbian

ntelligence Service, which we will study,

nalyze and research in this paper, focusing particularly on its presence and role in the north
p
art o
f
the Republic o
f
Kosovo.

he research question we have raised here is: Which is the signifi cance, presence and role o
f
the Serbian
I
ntelli
g
ence Service in northern Kosovo?
T
his research paper will address the various aspects of the
I
ntelligence Service and its role in
the north part of Kosovo in factual, political and legal terms.
I
n addition, we will elaborate
on the circumstances of developments in northern Kosovo before and a er its declaration
of independence, given that there were violent and subversive developments against the
constitutional and social order. We will try to bring new insights into the signi
fi
cance and

estabilizing role that Serbia has played with the activities of the

ntelligence Service in
