Abstract
Thisreviewisasummaryofresultsweachievedincourseofourstudyinwhichmanyissues
ofspecicimportancehavebeenpresentedconcerningthe problemofviolenceinschoolsin
Kosovawhichisoneofthesegmentsofthegeneral violencetakingplaceinthesocietyOur
studyisfocusednotonlyinndingthelevelmannerandformofviolenceinschoolandnot
onlyinndingthe preventionmeasuresofviolence inschoolbutalsotheinuencethat the
violence has in the performance of the pupils and that this phenomenon is a concerning issue
for the research and academic circles every day more and more and also makes them think
andworkharderinovercomingthissocialproblem
Wehavemetpupilsparentsandteachersanddiscussedtheproblemwiththemandlaterwe
obtainedtheanswersonthequestionsincludedinaquestionnaireregardingtheproblemwe
arereviewingWehaveachievedourresearchworkbytryingtocarryoutthetaskswehave
scheduled for ourselves1, such as consulting literature and other information regarding school
violencethe factorsthat causethis occurrenceand inparticularits eectin theprogress of
thelearningprocessWemanagedtogatherandprocessinformationthroughquestionnaires
and also processed data statistics and obtained various parameters. Also in this study but
forinterpretationof theresearchresults wewillalsopresentouropinioninnding waysin
mitigatingandeliminatingthisprobleminourschoolsbybringingourconclusionsaswellas
byoeringconcrete recommendationsofhow tocomeout ofthesituationthattheschoolis
facing the phenomenon of violence.

1.1 Physical and psychological violence
Bodyinjuryorphysicalpunishmentisdenedasapunishmentwhenphysicalforce
isused thatregardlesshow mild it is it’s purpose is to cause certain or unpleasant
painIntheeducationenvironmentthiskindofpunishmentincludesbeatinghiing
slappinghiingfrom behindofthepupilwith ahandoranobject Alsoitcanbe
kicking, shaking or pushing of the pupil, scratching, pinching, biting, hair pulling,
hiing of the ears forcing the pupil to stand in an unpleasant position burning
heatingorviolentwashingofthemouthwithsoap
Therearemanyothernonphysicalformsofpunishmentthatarecruelandhumiliating
Thesepunishmentsareunderestimatingintimidatingthreateningandmockingthe
pupil. Also the use of violence by a bigger and a stronger adult than the pupil, he
evidentlygivesamessageofstrengthcontrolandintimidationbyconrmingthefact
that the physical aggressiveness is closely linked to the psychological aggressiveness.
