REGLAMENTO (CE) No 2025/2003 DE LA COMISIÓN de 17 de noviembre de 2003 relativo a la interrupción de la pesca de maruca por parte de los buques que enarbolan pabellón de Suecia LA COMISIÓN DE LAS COMUNIDADES EUROPEAS,
Visto el Tratado constitutivo de la Comunidad Europea,
Visto el Reglamento (CEE) no 2847/93 del Consejo, de 12 de octubre de 1993, por el que se establece un régimen de control aplicable a la política pesquera común (1), cuya última modificación la constituye el Reglamento (CE) no 806/2003 (2), y, en particular, el apartado 3 de su artículo 21,
Considerando lo siguiente:
(1) El Reglamento (CE) no 2340/2002 del Consejo, de 16 de diciembre de 2002, por el que se establecen para 2003 y 2004 las posibilidades de pesca de las poblaciones de aguas profundas (3), fija las cuotas de maruca para el año 2003.
(2) Para garantizar el cumplimiento de las disposiciones relativas a las limitaciones cuantitativas de las capturas de las poblaciones sujetas a cuotas, esnecesario que la Comisión fije la fecha en la que se considera que las capturas efectuadas por buques que enarbolan pabellón de un Estado miembro han agotado la cuota asignada.
(3) Según la información transmitida a la Comisión, las capturas demaruca efectuadas en aguas de la zona CIEM III (aguas comunitarias y aguas no sometidas a la soberanía o jurisdicción de terceros países), por buques que enarbolan pabellón de Suecia o que están registrados en ese país han alcanzado la cuota asignada para 2003.
Suecia ha prohibido la pesca de esta población a partir del 31 de agosto de 2003, motivo por el que es preciso atenerse a dicha fecha.
HA ADOPTADO EL PRESENTE REGLAMENTO:
Se considera que las capturas de maruca en aguas de la zona CIEM III (aguas comunitarias y aguas no sometidas a la soberanía o jurisdicción de terceros países), efectuadas por buques que enarbolan pabellón de Suecia o que están registrados en dicho país han agotado la cuota asignada a Suecia para2003.
