Annex 1 Programming by category of operation
Education and training
Programmed education and training operations include a range of different operations
mainly related to the prevention of early-school leaving, facilitation of school to work
transition, personalised educational support to students with special educational needs
and training of teachers and improvement of teachi ng methods.
Table 8 below shows the number of IPs and OPs in each Member States concerned with
education and training for children. Those were programmed by 23 different Member
States, based on information found in the description of actions of the OPs by running
simple word searches60 of the 187 ESF OPs61. Most operations were programmed under
IP 10i (66 of them), IP 8ii (21) and IP 10iv (20).
